The survey revealed serious problems with the health and finances of American truckers' St. Christopher Truckers Relief Fund (SCF) https://truckersfund.org  has released the results of a new nationwide consumer survey.

The survey highlighted the serious health and financial difficulties of America's truck drivers. It showed that the general public underestimates the risks faced by truckers and is poorly aware of their lack of social protection systems.

According to the results, 37% of Americans believe that drivers lose between $10,000 and $24,999 in income if they cannot work for at least a month due to illness or injury.

At the same time, 43% do not know that the majority of independent drivers do not have paid sick leave or preferential leave.

In addition, almost 40% of drivers are believed to have serious metabolic problems and cardiovascular diseases, including diabetes and heart disease.

Courtney Niemann, Executive Director of SCF, emphasized that the health and financial stability of drivers directly affect the sustainability of logistics, as 72% of the supply chain in the United States depends on trucks.
