The 53rd annual Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS) opens on March 27 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville. About 56,000 people are expected to attend the event. The show will host 870 exhibitor spaces and offer entertainment and educational opportunities.

The opening day will feature a festive reception with an auction, bourbon and craft beer sampling, and live music. Custom truck enthusiasts can look forward to the PKY Truck Beauty Championship, complete with a light display, a procession, and an awards presentation.

The expo includes 38 educational seminars led by industry professionals, covering various freight-related subjects. A highlight will be the Big Rig Build-Off, where top truck builders vie for a $25,000 reward.

On Friday night, a complimentary concert featuring Tony Justice and Colt Ford will entertain visitors. The exhibition will run until Saturday, March 29.
