On May 21, the Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS) implemented Operation Maximum Security in the south of the region, focusing on truck control (CMV).
As part of the one-day event, 74 CMV inspections were carried out, during which 196 cases of non-compliance with the rules were recorded. Significant violations led to the suspension of 9 CMV drivers and 25 commercial vehicles.
Special attention was paid to the safety of school buses: 7 of them were suspended from flights due to serious defects. The AZDPS staff stressed that ensuring safety on the roads, especially for schoolchildren, is a top priority.
