CDL Class A Driver (tractor-trailers)

R & E Logistics ., a leader in authentic Indian food products, is seeking a reliable CDL Class A Driver (tractor-trailers) to join our team. The ideal candidate will ensure the safe and timely delivery of our products while maintaining excellent customer service and following all traffic and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

safely operate a CDL Class A vehicle for deliveries, adhering to scheduled routes and timelines.
Load and unload trucks using pallet jacks, hand pallet trucks, forklifts, and pallet wrapping tools, ensuring proper handling of products.
Occasionally perform floor-to-floor deliveries as required by customer needs.
Maintain accurate delivery logs and comply with DOT and company safety standards.
Inspect vehicles daily and report any maintenance issues to management.
Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure road safety.
Adhere to all DOT regulations and company policies.
Communicate professionally with customers and act as a positive representative of the company.
Assist with warehouse operations when required.

Requirements:

valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.
Experience with pallet jacks, hand pallet trucks, forklifts, and pallet wrapping tools.
Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks related to loading/unloading.
Basic knowledge of the English language; Spanish is an advantage.
Minimum of 4-5 years of experience as a CDL driver.
Willingness to work a 10-hour shift ( 5 TO 6) STOP PER DAY, Monday to Friday, with potential weekend shifts if required (advanced notice will be given).
Ability to follow delivery instructions and communicate effectively.
Weekly Schedule:
4 days of local deliveries within the NY-NJ area, with around 6 stops per day.
Once a week: Travel to Massachusetts (MA) for pickups and deliveries.
Twice a month: Travel to Virginia (VA) for pickups and drop-offs.
Safely transport goods between Port Washington, NY, and Flushing, NJ.
Strong USDOT knowledge & Clean MVR/DAC Report.
Must pass DOT Physical & have no CDL suspensions/revocations.
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English for reporting & compliance.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5:30 AM Start | 10-hour shifts
Stops: 5-6 per day | Dock-to-Dock & Floor-to-Floor Deliveries
